For a large-scale projects in which hundreds of tables and tens of thousands of items are needed, database design and model management in a multi-user environment involves a high level of risk and strain. Involving many people in ER model creation requires simultaneous model modification work, which raises the issue of collective data management and work efficiency. In addition to this, a finely tuned access control system for users is essential.
For such a large-scale project, we propose the introduction of the CA ERwin Data Modeler and CA ERwin Mode Manager.
